Introduction

Over at Livejournal I have separate accounts for myself, and my avatar. I'll be using Dreamwidth on a limited basis, at least for now, so I'm not going to to set up an avatar account ('sides, I have no invite codes).

In-world, I'm Ceejay Writer. I live in New Babbage, a steampunk city. I've got a couple of plots of land in the Palisade area there, and have built an espresso cafe and chocolate shoppe called CocoaJava Cafe. I recently bought a second plot of land (hello, slippery slope) and am working on another concept to come soon.

I also dance vintage burlesque at a club I help manage, the New Champagne Rooms in Jersey Island and in Babbage Square. No standard pole dancing at those places, we craft up witty, fun, great looking acts! Come visit sometime!

And since I'm apparently insane, I also write feature articles for the Primgraph and Prim Perfect magazines in-world.

So then... hi!

Prim Perfect's Second Anniversary Issue

The 2nd anniversary issue of Prim Perfect is out! Reading it via the Calameo.com site is my recommendation, as it gives you the full magazine experience, right down to the crispy sound of turning the pages. It's right here: Prim Perfect Issue Issue #17

The whole issue is well worth reading cover to cover, but if you're in a hurry, here are my article contributions. *grin*

Page 24: Home Expo 2009 (though I should mention that I only collected some of that info, I believe one of the other staff writers polished up and completed the article)

Page 53: Country Living in Neufreistadt

Page 62: An Interview with Leyla Firefly, Builder and Second Life Romantic (my favorite article, please read it!)

Page 68: Special Feature: Five Sims Filled with Love and Creativity

Page 114: Advice for Newcomers: Controlling your Inventory, Notecards and Landmarks

Also, as part of the second year anniversary festivities, the entire staff is featured in "Looking Back: Two Years of Prim Perfect". Ceejay's wee bit is on page 107 in that article!

Whew. No wonder April felt like such a busy month! *flops*

Water, Water Everywhere...

A while ago, Ahnyanka Delphin, owner of the New Champagne Rooms vaudeville club in Babbage Square discovered a small leak. It's a new building, and apparently the plumbing has some quirks. Here's Ahnya contemplating a puddle on the carpeting.

It's just a bit of water, though. Ahnya's a great builder and I was sure she would have the leak repaired in no time. What could possibly go wrong? Well...

Oh, my! )

(no subject)

Firstly, hello to everyone here!
I was wondering if there are any old members here, or any ex-TSL member who might possibly remember me. I'm being transferred to the main grid and I've just realised that I don't know anyone anymore.

I joined Second Life in early 2004 before the teen grid existed. My avatar was Stephen Grayson and I was a n00b as documented by NWN. How Hamlet didn't realise I was underage I will never know. Peacekeepers? WHAT?

When I heard about TSL, I turned myself in. I participated in the closed beta as 782 Naumova which I used for the rest of my stay in Teen Second Life. I was the 22nd person to join and most of the early members will remember me. I also did some equally n00bish things there.
I was for over a year by far the most active forum member, having the highest post count for a very long time and I met a lot of my best SL friends on there. After a while, I became a forum moderator (For those that don't know, forums were never removed from teen second life and still continue there). I started the now defunct #teensl with Alpha Zaius which was pretty popular for a while.
Later TSL members probably won't recognise me. After a few years, I got serious with my school work and my second life suffered.

I'm 18 now and returning to the main grid. I haven't been active in what seems like an eternity and I'm missing having SL friends. I'm trying my best to track down old friends but so far everyone seems to have dropped off the grid.

So, this is it; I'm looking for any old friends that might remember me. It may have been from a long time ago but I'm still keen to hear from anyone. Any old TSL members or anyone that recognises me- I would love to know how you're doing and reminisce about old times. Likewise, meeting with anyone new that wants to hang out in grid would be great.

I'm glad to be here. Thanks for starting this community!
